QSC research wants funds2004/09/28

Presently, the experimental research of QSC (Quantum Superluminal Communication) wants funds. Please support us. If the QSC experiment is successfully completed, it may bring a fundamental revolution in physics---both quantum and relativity theories, and will also bring a revolutionary change for the science of consciousness and the modern communication technology. The research may win the Nobel prizes in physics and physiology.

A theory of quantum consciousness is published (2004/5/8)

Recently, a theory of quantum consciousness is published in Axiomathes: An International Journal in Ontology and Cognitive Systems. If the theory is further confirmed by experiments, it will bring deep influences on both the science of consciousness and philosophy, and provide a solid basis for the unified theory of matter and consciousness.

A possible connection between self-consciousness and quantum, published in Axiomathes: An International Journal in Ontology and Cognitive Systems, 14 (4), (2004) 295-305.

QSC paper is among the most viewed articles in FPL2004/4/28

The QSC paper Quantum collapse, consciousness and superluminal communication is among the most viewed articles in Foundations of Physics Letters. This indicates that the QSC theory has received the universal attention of the physics community.

I agree with you that, if you modify quantum mechanics in such a way that an NSDD become possible and if you leave everything else the same, there might be a possibility for superluminal communication. My demonstration assumed orthodox quantum mechanics. ------ Philippe Eberhard [LBL]

The QSC theory is published in FPL2004/4/5

Recently, the QSC theory was finally published in the April issue of Foundations of Physics Letterssee http://www.kluweronline.com/issn/0894-9875/. It is demonstrated that a proper combination of quantum and consciousness may result in the realizability of superluminal communication. The theory, if confirmed by further experiments, may have far-reaching influence on the present science, including physics (e.g. relativity theory and quantum theory) and the science of consciousness etc.

Quantum mechanics and discontinuous motion of particles

[Reviews]

1. The idea of using discontinuous motion as a realist interpretation of quantum mechanics is original. If it can be made to work, it would add an interesting new ontology to our stock of quantum mechanical interpretations.

2. There may be enough freedom in defining the discontinuous world sets to be able to construct quantities in configuration space… This may offer an interesting solution to the puzzle of how wave-functions in configuration space may arise from an underlying reality in normal physical space. There is of course the problem of mathematical consistency and adequate existence proofs.

3. The discussion in the section entitled ‘The discontinuous motion of particles in discrete space-time’ offers an interesting vision of Plank scale phenomena.

4. The philosophical position in the section entitled ‘The basis of discontinuous motion’, that lack of reason is a guiding principle for physical behavior, though not new, is one that merits greater exploration and is an interesting argument in favor of the author's ideas.

A conjecture on the origin of dark energy

[Comments]

The problem is that the idea's details are too speculative. In particular, if you believe in the holographic hypothesis, then the vacuum degrees of freedom should involve all frequencies, not just that of (1) which is the lowest possible.  Therefore, I too do not believe you have explained dark energy. But the point that an holographic number of modes with the lowest frequency give the vacuum energy in order of magnitude is noteworthy. It may hide something. ------ Jacob D. Bekenstein

The Popular book Quantum has been published by Tsinghua University Press2004/1/1

Recently, the Chinese popular book Quantum was published by Tsinghua University Press. As the first book of the physics series of "Walking into the science", Quantum introduced and explained the perplexing but fascinating quantum thought in a clear and popular way. The book can be bought online in 水木书屋.
